The
Philadelphia Puerto Rican parade, 2003 is celebrated by the Hispanic community of Philadelphia
and the Delaware valley Hispanic community as a whole.
This is 'Hispanic Heritage Month' and the forty-first anniversary of the Puerto
Rican Parade in Philadelphia's alluring
Logan's Square -- Swann's fountain
is in the foreground.
This parade assembles on Ben Franklin Parkway, from Eakins Oval at the Philadelphia
Museum. The air is thick
with Latin Rhythms as the performers warm up their routines. From there the parade takes a
triangular detour
along 20th street to JFK Boulevard. At the boulevard and 16th street they would again
connect to the Parkway
ending at Logan's Square. Here they strut their stuff before the Judges.
