Boston's Caribbean Parade 2003

This is the Boston Carnival Organization's  "Caribbean American Carnival Association," Thirtieth
anniversary Boston Caribbean carnival parade event on Blue Hill Avenue. Founded in 1973, it is to this day one of the largest Caribbean American parade events  in America.

On this day of celebration Franklin Park bustled with beautiful people, lots of them. As the Massachusetts Police blend seamlessly into the dense crowds, I would overhear one of them asking questions about a particular ritual of one of the masquerading bands. While the succulent smells of Island cuisine, the rhythms, and arts and crafts on display complemented the street parade.

This was especially satisfying, because  for me last years session had it's moments of personal frustration. It was a good day for this Boston Caribbean Carnival parade event on Blue Hill Avenue.

From Caribana to Boston....A modest Jester.
